On the other hand, I dislike seeing lots of code in presentations.
It's not easy to read code off a slide, particularly if the presenter
is talking at the same time. And if you can read it, you don't have
time to write it down or remember it, so any benefit is transitory.
You can of course look at the slides later in your own time, if
they're available. But if the slides are that self-contained, I'd
prefer reading them in the first place to having a presenter read
them to me.
Having said that, presenters vary, topics vary and listeners vary.
I didn't see Tom's chat bot talk but doubtless it was superb :-)
