[LRUG] Meeting tonight - sign up closed :(

Hi all,

I've just heard from Skills Matter that due to a large influx of last minute
registrants they've had to close registration for the meeting tonight.  From
the email I got:

> I currently have 80 people signed up for tonight and that is the absolute

> not be allowing people in who are not on the list, they will be allowed to
> wait to see if there is space but we won't be letting them downstairs

This is a bit of a shame as I know loads of people just don't get round to
registering and I'd hate for them to miss out.  So if anyone has signed up
and knows they can't make it, maybe they could email Skills Matter and let
them know so some other late registrants can get in.  If you haven't signed
up, turn up anyway, if you don't get in we can still have a chat in the pub
afterwards.

They've also said:

In order to prevent this from happening again, I am going to urge people to
> register at least a week in advance, so if by chance we do get a large crowd
> we can go ahead and rent out an alternate venue.  We'd be more than happy to
> keep registration open however we do need about a week to make prior
> arrangements with another venue.



I'll mention it again tonight (and prior to future meetings) to try and
avoid this happening again.
