[LRUG] Web Services / ActiveRecord / Rails

Has anyone any experience incorporating Web Services like MusicBrainz in a
Rails app ?

I want to include MusicBrainz data via the Rbrainz gem in my Rails
application. 

My current thinking is the best approach is to provide ActiveRecord-like
wrappers to Rbrainz to provide my controllers with methods such as
Artist.find(id), Artist.find(id, :include => 'releases') etc

Am I on the right track ?
Anyone know of any blog posts worth reading to give me a heads up on the
approach I should be taking ?
