It's the same adjective inflation you find with estate agents:  
stunning this, outstanding that.

I'm certain there's a gap in the market for (brutally) honest  
recruitment agents.  They could also translate candidates' CVs ("I  
have four years of Rails experience" -> "Has no idea").
