Well for the haddock.org feed, Yahoo Pipes is used. I'm not sure if  
you can allow group editing for a pipe setup, but it would be workable  
to create a yahoo lrug login to own it, and share that account details  
amongst some admins.

I'll have an initial try by taking the list of people from http://lrug.org/members-and-friends/ 
  and trying to find a ruby category on each user's site.
