[LRUG] Heroku in London

I'm not too interested in hearing about how to deploy to heroku
(I've already read about / watched videos about that)

I want to hear about how you go about building a cluster of
self-contained ruby vms,
what do you use to distribute requests, and split them to the correct slices?

Its all crazy stuff
that I'll never need to use,

but, nevertheless, black magic that intrigues me.
