ChilliBean is looking for a developer with Ruby on Rails experience to  
come into a small development team. The main project will be working  
on the next iteration of the company's core Digital Asset Management  
system.

ChilliBean is transitioning its core services and products to a Ruby  
on Rails implementation. With the current implementation in Perl, we  
need a developer who is not afraid to work on large projects and is  
comfortable using Ruby on Rails.



Required Skills:

- Ruby on Rails experience

- Database experience (mySQL, postgreSQL etc.)

- Experience developing scalable architectures

- Experience designing and developing APIs

-Time Management and organisational skills - we are a small team so  
you will often be working on a number of projects in some capacity.



Desired Skills:

- Good understanding of building semantic, accessible websites

- Knowledge of using Javascript to enhance a users experience,  
preferably using the jQuery library

- Have worked with tools such as ImageMagick and FFMPEG

- Experience using Version Control Systems such as Git or SVN

- Comfortable using Linux



Duties and Responsibilities:

As part of the development team, your main responsibilities will be  
working on the new iteration of ChilliBean's core services and  
products in Ruby on Rails. This will include helping to design and  
build the applications. This will also involve working with the rest  
of the company to ensure requirements are met, as well as thinking  
about other improvements and features that are useful to the products  
and the company.

As ChilliBean already operate a service, there may be times where  
maintenance is required on the existing system, however this will  
usually be handled by staff with experience of the current system.

ChilliBean is located in the centre of Soho, right in the heart of the  
West End of London, offering easy accessibility via train, tube or bus  
as well as plenty options for places to go out after work.
