[LRUG] Solr or Sphinx

We started with Sphinx, but have since moved to Solr, as there are good support libraries (take a look at Sunspot / Sunspot-rails), and have found Solr to match more closely what we want to do - mainly index files in the filesystem that are linked as attachments to AR objects.
