[LRUG] Change of pub venue?

When we moved to the Goswell Road venue I did a mini pub crawl with some
other LRUG booze hounds because I had similar concerns.  Problem is it's
pretty slim pickings around here, and despite the shortcomings The
Slaughtered Lamb might be the best option.  It does food too, which is nice.

We tried this at the end of the night, it's actually reasonably-sized.  Our
misgivings were that it seemed pretty local; perhaps the sort of place where
there might be friction with the regulars should 50 or more ruby programmers
pitch up on a Monday night and crowd the bar for 30 mins.

Yeah, that was our conclusion too.  It seemed like a nice pub, but it's
pretty tiny in there.

Anyone want to scope out the Old Ivy House and The Chequers and report back?
 Also try out The Sutton Arms and The White Lion for a second opinion.
 Maybe another LRUG Nights (http://lrug.org/nights) to scope out alternative
pubs?

Actually, maybe the solution is just to have more regular LRUG Nights?
 Anyone want to organise one?
