That's a good point. I'll have to gather more data and perhaps then raise it with the VPS host.

Yes, it's 1. I'll bump it up to 2. What do have it at for FreeAgent?
However I don't tend to get false positives at other times of day; it would be nice to work out what's causing them here.

Not using New Relic...
Gerhard Lazu suggested pinging Pingdom from the VPS to test connectivity. I'll set that up and see what happens.

1 for most of the sites, 3 for one of them (Sparkle). I'm also using PassengerPreStart.
