[LRUG] June? An evening of hand-crafted gems, anyone?

Hey all,

While we thrash out details of future practical evenings on the other
thread, it's time to think about what to do for the June meeting.  The
meeting is scheduled for Monday, 13th June.

I don't think I have anyone pencilled in (if you think you are get in
touch!), so I'm wide open to any ideas or talks that you want to give.

One thought I did have was to re-run an evening we did a couple of years
ago; it was the "Here is my gem" evening, where we had 5 or 6 speakers all
talking for ~10 mins about a gem they'd written.  If there are enough gem
authors looking for a platform to announce their latest gem we could do
this.  If not, then, well... you'll get more than 10mins.  Or we do
something else.

If you have a 30min talk about database sharding you want to give, don't let
the above little paragraph stop you; volunteer something and we'll work it
out.
