Hi everyone,
I don't post here very often but have been a long time lurker and used to
attend the very early LRUG meetings back in early 2006 when about 10 people
used to turn up :)
Sorry for yet another 'desperately seeking' post, but my team at AOL
advertising needs a good experienced contractor for at least 3 months
and probably longer.
The sort of guy (or girl) we need will be more of back-end developer rather
than front-end and will need to be comfortable with heavy data modelling and
SQL as well as Rails development.
We need you to work on enhancements and maintenance to a large Rails 2.3 app
with (luckily) close to 100% test coverage and some reasonable standards
(DRY, Bundler, Webistrano deployment etc).
We are also doing a lot of work with Node.JS, coffeescript, MongoDB and the
socketstream project is being actively developed in our team:
https://github.com/socketstream/socketstream
So exposure to any of the above is useful.
At the end of the day we are looking for someone who is bright, a quick
learner and knows how to deliver and we will pay a competitive daily rate.
The corporate sanitised job spec is below and if you think it fits then send
an email with your cv and a brief cover letter to
stephen.strudwick at teamaol.com
thanks for listening!
