Sportpost’s goal is to become the leading portal for sport fans. We launched SportPost.com just over a year ago. Since then, the website has become one of the largest independent content sharing platforms for sports fans in the world. Sportpost is a fun and exciting place to work with a young management team who are all fanatical about sport. 

Sportpost has recently secured significant funding and is about to embark on the development of a new platform in Ruby.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to:
get involved in a new greenfield project
use the latest technologies
learn best practices from an external specialist consultancy
get exposure to all aspects of development
develop for modern browsers and mobile devices
join a small team and have influence in the product development

You will not be required to maintain any legacy code! 

We are looking for a candidate who:
is a recent computer science graduate or has 2-3 years experience
has strong analytical and problem solving skills
is keen to learn new skills and does not mind being thrown into the deep end
is passionate about the web, social media and sports
has experience in Ruby, Rails, CSS3, HTML5, Javascript, JQuery, Test driven development, MYSQL or PostgreSQL, Git. Experience of Coffee script, Heroku, Cucumber are desirable
