audio streaming and downloading, music discovery and recommendation tools,
editorial, and social features.
Essential Skills:
* Experience with Ruby on Rails - Cucumber and Git
* Strong interest in using agile methodologies, pair programming, and
unit/integration testing methodologies
* JavaScript
* SQL
* HTML/CSS
* Unix/Linux
* Produces elegant but efficient code, who enjoys collaborating with peers
* History of interest/involvement in the Open Source community

JOB 2: Based in London / Up to £65,000
This is a rare opportunity for a Technical Lead within Ruby on Rails
development for a PLC client (based in London) which is currently managing
world-class software development. They are in urgent need of a highly
talented individual to take ownership of all things Ruby on Rails and guide
the current team while being extremely hands on! They understand to lure the
best, they will be need to pay above market rate therefore are willing to
pay for the right person!
The company is more technology focused than ever plus this role is
accountable for i) simplifying and innovating the underlying technical
solutions to improve development velocity and the cost of ownership; and ii)
developing a world-class agile team of software developers. This role
includes hands on software development and frequently requires analysis and

JOB 3: Based in London / paying up to £55,000 plus equity options
A fantastic opening for a ruby on rails developer has arisen within the
financial services. This is an opportunity to get involved with another
"first" to the online market! This online setup secured funding from the
same VC's as Skype, Betfair and Lovefilm plus many more. This genius idea
and setup also has had the press go wild with fantastic write-ups with big
plans for 2011.
This Developer role represents a unique opportunity to become part of a
dynamic and driven team as well as securing an attractive equity position in
a market with total assets of £150bn+. Management are targeting a
nine-figure exit valuation within 5 years.
This position is for a developer to completely re-write their Site and
migration from the current PHP-Symfony platform to Ruby on Rails.
The role requires a good all-rounder, someone who is willing to 'muck in'
when needed and take responsibility for processes and tools when required,
and someone who is keen to learn and apply new skills and techniques. You
will have knowledge of, and be at ease working with, Linux/Unix operating
systems. You should be comfortable using the command line and command line
tools (for deployment, etc.) as well as being not being scared of using unix
text editors (like vi/emacs). Knowledge and experience with more than one
language a distinct advantage (python/ruby/perl/javascript/erlang).
Essentials:
* Ruby on Rails
* Version Control using Git or other distributed system
* Continuous integration (Using Cruise Control or Hudson)
* Experience of and understanding of Databases, preferably PostgreSQL or
MySQL
* Familiarity with Agile Methodology (TDD/BDD/XP/Scrum)
* Experience of BDD tools like Cucumber or Rspec
* Advanced HTML HTML/XHTML/CSS
