Hey all,

Firstly, I am a tech recruiter, secondly, I have no issue disclosing company names one to one so if this role is of interest then email or call me.
Hopefully you will find that I'm not your typical Tech Recruiter. I have a handful of close friends within the LRUG community and I'm relatively well known on Hacker News as Peroni<http://news.ycombinator.org/user?id=Peroni>.
I've resisted the urge to turn up at the LRUG meet-ups without any tangible Ruby experience under my belt so hopefully you will have a bit of patience with me!

I work closely with the Tech Director of a fantastic, tech heavy, Social Networking company who are setting up a brand new development hub in a great location in London.
They have an established and talented team of Ruby Engineers and Rails Developers at their head office and now they want to replicate that in London. Unfortunately they didn't adopt Puppet until later in the day so it wasn't just a case of creating a new office in the EU region and typing 'cap deploy'. (I talk tech good)

You will be helping to build enhancements to their social networking infrastructure and platform. You're looking at high availability transactional systems and need to be to be up to the challenge of building a large, complex web application.

They are highly profitable, growing quickly and want to recruit talented Ruby and/or Rails people to get involved and evolve their technology platform.
Fortunately they see the value in pumping a good chunk of those profits back into the Dev team so you will be working with fantastic kit in a really nice, comfortable office.
Commercial Ruby is a must, obviously, but Java/Scala/Erlang/C/Perl would be a nice set of skills to have in reserve.
The have a very impressive office set-up and you will get a chance to help define the culture of what will soon be one of the strongest Development teams in London.

They will pay up to £50k plus benefits or up to £350 per day for a contractor (6 months minimum).

If it sounds like your kind of job, my contact details are below. If you want to ask me 'HEY RECRUITER, WHY U NO GOOD?' type questions then it's probably best to email me directly. If you want to offer any help or advice that will enable me to appeal to more decent Developers then I'm all ears.

Thanks for listening.
