For the London Node.js User Group I wanted to avoid this problem so I created a job board specifically for the group: http://lnug.org/jobs

The catch was that to be able to post a job you need to attend the meetups, there is a password on the submission form and a new one is given out each month at the meetup.

It's worked quite nicely for us, allowing the community to advertise their jobs without spamming the mailing list or meetups.

The code for the job board is open source here: https://github.com/forward/lnug but it is written in Node.js which may offend some of you.

I'm happy to help implement this for LRUG if people think it will be of use.
