[LRUG] Jumping ship to ruby

Many thanks for all the great advice! I've also started with picking up
ruby on its own and only a few months later I've decided to move to rails;
now I'm wondering whether I should take my time before plunging into rails.
I think the best advice is probably getting involved in OSS. If there's
anyone working on something in need of help, feel free to get in touch.
I'll be more than happy to take on anything, even working on test coverage.
Anyway, I think this made me a bit more realistic. I should take my time
and learn more before starting to look for a place that might take me more
actively.
