Ali - option 1 all the way.

Your answers were actually rather interesting!

Can I ask - how you instill credit after a developer leaves?

Options 11 and 13 go without saying.

Hold up,

He could mean one of two things:

1. "We are an equal opportunities employer and our team contains people
from a variety of countries, backgrounds and genders".

or

2. "We have exotic women who program computers, lucky you! (wink wink,
nudge nudge)"

In context with 'a keg of beer and tap at your development desk', I'm
finding it difficult to be particularly charitable. At the same time I'm
happy to wait until Mr. Green decides to turn up and explain what he meant.

Here's the three I'd pick from the list:

11. Feel like what I spend 8+ hours a day on has a purpose
12. Credit for what I build after I leave
13. Boss who isn't a complete douche
