Good Event Ruby User Group,

I hope everyone is indeed well and looking forward to vacations ahead. I
wanted to share some news with the group as we are keen to attract a Lead
Developer to our business here on Great Titchfield Street, Central London
to build out a strategic development team and to manage our offshore
resource.

Dan Singerman, Nick Dainty and Daniel Laeng have to date contributed
exceptional code to the business which has enabled us to build an awesome
product and off the back of this in the last week secure a seed round. We
will be adding a Non Exec Director to the board from Facebook, San
Francisco joining from September as we begin our USA expansion 2014.

Today evvnt has well over 250 customers active

subscription to enterprise accounts,  1000+
publishers, <http://evvnt.com/where/> strong monthly revenues and we are
looking for an individual who would like to move away from project /
contract work and come build, own, create and inspire a world class events
platform.

Off the back of the last 'EPIC' email we had 5000 uniques hit our website
in one day, 16 recruiters call in, 8 developers apply, and

experience. The developers who for reasons
mainly due to location and timing did not meet the brief, we are still
continuing our search as we work towards a September hire.

Lead Developer – Full Time

At evvnt.com, we are expanding our development team to help us grow and
expand our business. We offer a common sense solution to an obvious problem
and we are signing up subscription and enterprise clients daily.

We are looking for a smart developer who can learn what our business needs
from technology and can work in a team to deliver business driven features.
The person we hire will work in the team with overall responsibility for
our platform, and will be expected to provide strong input into how our
product evolves.

As a ‘full-stack’ software developer you will be responsible for the evvnt
application using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Your role will
involve building our back-end web service in Rails, front end platform and
API integrations with our partner sites.

*What you should have:*

   - Experience developing with Ruby on Rails and deploying on Heroku
   - Passion for technology and how to apply it to real business problems
   - Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
   - 3 + years software development experience building scalable web
   applications
   - Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, HTML & CSS.
   - University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a
   related subject.

*What would be an advantage:*

   - Creating and consuming JSON and REST APIs
   - Front end development skills
