I was also at this workshop last week and would add my recommendation.

Even if you're already savvy about security, learning hands-on how to
code attacks for various kinds of exploits is useful. As an indirect
but concrete result of thinking more about security this past week
I've found 4 XSS bugs in 2 different apps.

Great group of people in attendance too.
