[LRUG] [ANN] August meeting details - Monday 11th, August

Hey hey hey,

Our August meeting is on Monday 11th.  We start at 6:30pm (doors at 6pm) in
the Skills Matter offices.  If you’d like to attend you must register* with

Our talks for the evening will be:

* Dirk Breuer on “How to make guacamole” (it’s an ODM for ArangoDB)
* Alex Speller on “A gentle introduction to music theory (in ruby)”

* Room capacity is about 140, at which point SM put the event into waiting
list mode.  If you register and it says the meeting is full you are welcome
to turn up on the day and try to get in.  There is usually a 20% drop off
from registered folk to actually attending folk and SM do let unregistered
folk in to make up for that.  However, they may turn you away, so while I
know this can work from people telling me that’s how they got in, it’s not
a guarantee of entry.  The only way to guarantee entry is to register early.

If you do register early and then realise you can’t come, please let SM
know via email as apparently the “deregister” thing isn’t hooked up
directly to the waiting list (yet).
