As someone who's worked with Matthew Rudy Jacobs remotely, I agree with
everything he said.

I'd like to add that it's very helpful (pretty important, really) to have a
clear and shared understanding of who can authorize the project and goals,
and who can change them (or at least what the process and expectations are
when a nontrivial request or spec change arrives via someone other than the
official Person In Charge.)
