If you're in central London you can also try http://123recycleforfree.com/
They do free pickups for electronics including computer equipment, though
it can take a few weeks to get a slot booked.
On a related note, if you ever need to get rid of old office furniture and
you still have the fire-safety stickers (if upholstered) the British Heart
Foundation do free pickups. This saved us a few hundred pounds when we
moved office a few months ago:
