[LRUG] Chat Digest, Vol 116, Issue 17

Hi Damilola,

I just finished General Assembly's 12 week immersive. It was expensive, but
definitely worth it - strong understanding of building APIs in Node.js and
Rails with authentication, good grasp of Angular, covering sockets and much
more. They have great lecturers and assign homework every night (e.g build
Facebook tonight). I ended up coding 80 hours+ a week, staying up until 3am
many nights. Plus, they have a special loan program that can make paying
for it easier.

I didn't know about Founders & Coders until I started the course. I met
them a week into my course and they are a nice group of people. They are
quite different when it comes to coding schools. They have you teach your
peers. They do cover test-driven development (GA didn't cover much of it),
but they only cover JavaScript. It's up to you to decide what learning
experience works best for you.

*I'd definitely get into codewars and go to Founders & Coders Monday
socials to meet them (see meetup
http://www.meetup.com/founderscoders/events/224347291/
<http://www.meetup.com/founderscoders/events/224347291/>).*

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Sincerely,

Evan Gillogley
