Jake (CTO) and Neil (Researcher) gave a talk at LRUG back in January
about our new service called Primed. In a nutshell: it matches people
and roles using both software and humans, a cross between a jobs board
and a high end head hunting service. There's no way anyone can see
your details unless you explicitly apply for a role, and same goes if
you're an employer. This stops anyone else getting hold of your info,
and stops you getting contacted or phished by recruiting agents.

The service works by short-listing people on the database as new roles
are uploaded by employers, and then we (currently, Neil and I) double
check on fit before contacting those who match up correctly. Those who
match well receive full details (name, salary/rate, full spec,
location) in the first contact, and get to choose if they want to
proceed. If they do, they get sent straight to the employer directly,
who then takes you through interview as you would if you had gone
direct. No recruiters, middle-person, no faff.

We're finally launched, and have some really interesting roles and
people signed up already. If you'd like to help us break down
recruitment as it currently is and prove there's a better way than the

We currently have both perm and contract ruby roles being matched on
the site, so it'd be great to help any of you thinking of a move in
the next 6 months or more.

For transparency: there are no commission fees attached to Primed, and
therefore none affecting your introduction anywhere. When we do start
charging in a few weeks it will be employers who pay per job posted,
per month - just like a jobs board, but with much better delivery of
service from human curated matches. We don't believe in commission, as
you all hopefully know.
