> Nine years ago, the latest version of Ruby was 1.8.7, our Rails apps were running version two (Plugins! Resources!), and many of the Ruby libraries we now take for granted were as yet undreamt of. I wonder where we’ll be in 2027? Ruby 3, with its mooted static typing? Rails X (pronounced “ten”)? Will we _still_ be required to HTTParty hard?

For anyone who doesn’t already know / can’t wait until 2027, you can silence that abuse of the post install mechanism (at least when installing via bundler) with

bundle config ignore_messages.httparty true

Cheers,
