Hi everyone,
The next meeting of LRUG will be on Monday the 9th of October. Doors will open at 6pm, the talks will start at 6:30pm, and at 8pm you can either go home or stay for drinks with other attendees.
We’ve got two fantastic speakers lined up already:
* Paula Muldoon, “Work Smart, Not Hard”
* Emily Wood, “Making a Ruby with Lisp Syntax”
Note that Paula’s talk will begin with a brief session of (secular) meditation as an example of the practices she’ll be discussing. There’s more information about this at http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/stress-anxiety-depression/pages/mindfulness.aspx if you’re interested.
For more information on those talks and the meeting itself, see http://lrug.org/meetings/2017/october/. There’s still room for another 10-minute talk, so please email talks at lrug.org (per http://readme.lrug.org/#talks) if you’d like to give one.
If you’d like to join us, then please do the following:
1. Read the LRUG code of conduct so you know what’s expected of you: http://readme.lrug.org/#code-of-conduct
2. Register with our hosts Skills Matter so they can make sure you’ll have a seat: https://skillsmatter.com/meetups/10170-lrug-october
See you there!
Cheers,
-Tom
