Hello all,
I’m a Ruby on Rails developer with over 14 years of experience and I’ve recently completed my contract as a Senior Rails Engineer at Citizens Advice. I’m currently looking for part-time contract, or freelance roles—either fully remote or with occasional in-office days, depending on location.

While I have a strong passion for backend development, I also really enjoy product engineering and working on the frontend when needed.

In previous roles, I’ve focused on improving team efficiency and delivery, but I’m equally happy getting stuck in and shipping code.

Here are some of the tools and technologies I’ve worked with:

Ruby on Rails, Sinatra, JavaScript (Node, Angular, Vue, some React), Python (light ML work), Go (keen to learn more), Tailwind CSS, SQL, RSpec, Minitest, GraphQL, Heroku, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, event-driven architecture, CLI tools, and Payments.
