[LRUG] Status of the geminabox gem

Hi,

Does anyone know about the geminabox gem (
https://rubygems.org/gems/geminabox). Specifically;

* What is the current status of the project? The latest version indicates
that it is supported up to Ruby 3.1 and there has been little recent
activity.
* If the current status is inactive, has anyone forked it into a new
project?
* Failing both of these, is there an alternative? According to Ruby Toolbox
(https://www.ruby-toolbox.com/categories/Gem_Hosting) it still seems to be
the recommended option from a very short list.
