Hi folks,

It was great meeting some of you on Monday. As I mentioned, I'm looking for two senior full-stack engineers to join our team at Pixie Labs.

We're a boutique software consultancy based in Shoreditch with a satellite office in NYC. Since launching in 2013, we've grown steadily and built a strong roster of clients who love working with us.

We specialise in spotting technical challenges inside growing businesses and fixing them. That often means rebuilding platforms, streamlining systems, and adding automation. We're an agency focused on delivering proper engineering solutions.

I'd love to hear from you if:

You're a great senior engineer and a thoughtful engineering consultant. You're as comfortable debugging an obscure Ruby issue as you are running a client workshop.

You enjoy working with Ruby, Rails, TypeScript, PostgreSQL and GenAI.

You want to spend at least three days a week with the team in our London office.

You're excited by a bit of uncertainty; things change fast in agency land!

You're curious about the technical world around you. In your spare time, you like building 3D printers, playing with esoteric programming languages, or testing the new text editor you saw on Hacker News.

A senior engineer at Pixie Labs:

Leads development projects and writes high-quality, reusable code while helping the team do the same.

Contributes throughout the project life cycle, which includes:

Helping shape pitches.

Influencing client roadmaps.

Breaking down and estimating work.

Handling testing, deployments, and maintenance.

You’re some of the first to hear that we're hiring; I'm only just starting to spin up our hiring engine. A full job description will be on our website soon. In the meantime, if this sounds like the role for you, send me an email, and we can have a chat.

Best,

—
