Hey everyone,
We’re looking for a part-time Rails contractor to support our team at Cherrypick.
It’s a low-key, ongoing 2nd-line support role: we’re imagining about 2 days a month, perhaps 30-60 mins a day. We won’t need you every day, but would love you to be around in case we do need you most weekdays at some point (we can organise cover as needed). All fully remote and mostly asynchronous via Slack + Meet as needed.
It’s mostly small tweaks, minor investigations, fixing data for customers, and occasional package/security upgrades. Think "pop in, unblock the customer support teams, and carry on with your day”. We might throw a few extra bits of work your way now and then if time allows.
The app is a pretty classic Rails build, around 4 years old, and powers almost all of our systems. It’s backed by a Go service that pulls in supermarket data.
In case you’ve not come across us: Cherrypick is an all-in-one meal planning and grocery app that helps users plan recipes, shop at supermarket prices, and get everything delivered. We’ve got tens of thousands of monthly actives, and we’re trying to make it easier (and cheaper) for people to eat well.
This won’t be your first Rails gig - looking for someone experienced who can drop in without much setup.
We’re happy to pay competitive rates, and we’d ideally love someone to start early next month.
If that sounds like your thing, drop me a line with your details and an idea of rate.
Thanks!
Chris
