For those who weren't at the meeting last night the winner of the logo competition was Andrew McDonough's "El Rug" logo: http://assets.lrug.org/images/logos/andrew_mcdonough/elrug.jpg

If you happen to be the maintainer of an LRUG group on some social network (Facebook, LinkedIn, Last.fm, Flickr, WWR etc...) can you please update the logo to be this one?

As I mentioned last night, and repeated on the updated logo page (http://lrug.org/what-are-we-going-to-do-about-a-logo), winning isn't the end of the story. We need someone to flex their Illustrator / Inkscape / vector drawing skills and turn this dodgy jpeg into something that we can scale etc... If you think you'd like to try, or know someone who might be able to help please get in touch. For those that are interested in helping out, I managed to find a large version of the source image which might be more useful as a starting point, although it's still pretty jpeg artefacty.

I'm sure everyone is bored of logos for now, so reply off list if you want to help and we'll sort something out.

Cheers,

Muz
