Hi all,

Since this is my first post, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Steve - I work part time in campaigns for the new economics foundation and part time as a freelance Ruby developer, focusing mainly on activist/NGO/third sector projects. I like Padrino and Heroku.

I've recently been involved in the launch of Move Your Money UK, a grassroots campaign encouraging consumers to switch from the big five banks to better alternatives. Happily, the weekend before last, the Guardian devoted their entire Money section of the print edition to it: online here.

It's basically unfunded at this point - there's a team of 20 or so dedicated, fun people all working on it for free. Everyone involved has a say in the direction and strategy of the campaign. Anyway, web savvy people (designers and developers) are proving a bottleneck at the moment. If after checking out the site, it seems it's something you agree with and you have a bit of spare time, we'd love you/your company to help out. Drop me an email off-list if you're interested.

Hope to meet some of you soon,
Steve
