Hi, Chris.

Thank you very much for your info. Yes, I have signed up to their site before. The problem of using their API for the hackathon is that it takes too long for people to get their API key (when I tried, took several days) and also they require ip range for the service, so it's very inconvenient for the people to signup and use during the Hackday. Ideally, I would like someone from TFL api team to give short presentation about their service, as well as providing their API key on the spot.

Regarding the email (SoniaSam@...), is it your personal contact, or just found on the site?

Thanks.

Makoto

On Sun, May 13, 2012 at 10:43 PM, Chris Kimpton <chris@kimptoc.net> wrote:
The latest blurb was advertising these feeds:

Live traffic disruptions

· The planned launch date of the new feed has been delayed to
allow more time for developers to adjust their systems to be able to
interpret the new feed. The new feed (RTDM) will go live with test
data at the end of May, and will start to contain real operational
data towards the end of June, at which point the existing feed (LTIS)
will be switched off.

· In response to feedback, the latitude/longitude coordinates
of traffic disruption cause areas will now be aligned to Google maps,
which is a change to the attached data dictionary.

· We’re pleased to inform you that TfL has been granted the
relevant licence exemption from Ordnance Survey, which means that
there will be no additional conditions attached to the use of the new
live traffic disruptions feed.

· A schema for the new feed is attached.

Live traffic camera images

· As well as increasing the number of “Jam Cam” images
available via this feed, we will be changing the structure of the
feed. The new XML structure is attached. We’ll let you know when a
date has been decided for implementing this change.

Live roadside variable message signs

· The new feed will be available by the end of next week, at
which time the existing feed will be deprecated and registration for
it disabled – although it will still be available until 2 July 2012
when it will be permanently switched off.

· A schema for the new feed is attached.

Have fun,
Chris
If any of LRUG members know, could you introduce me? If you also know any other organisations that can provide interesting dataset, I'd love to hear, too.
