<div dir="ltr">Hi everyone,<div><br></div><div>After a fun 4 years doing Ruby at Songkick, I'm moving on. I'm still considering my next move but in the short term I'd like some short-term contracting work, to get an idea of what's out there and try a few things out.</div>

<div><br></div><div>I'm new to the whole contracting thing, so if anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it.</div><div><br></div><div>Aside from that, if you're looking for someone with 7 years of professional Ruby and JavaScript experience, who's worked on the whole stack from the database and background jobs to front-end interaction, please get in touch. I have experience doing sites in Rails and Sinatra, designing and building internal services, scaling and refactoring complex applications, unit testing, continuous deployment and building supporting tools to ease development in many areas.</div>
