Hello LRUG,

Long-standing members may remember playing code golf at LRUG many years ago. I really enjoyed that (thank you Andrew McDonough!) so in the sincerest form of flattery we’re going to be playing code golf next week at the monthly hacknight we host here at Yammer. Do come and join us if you missed out first time!

If you've not already encountered 'code golf' the idea is to complete a number of small programming challenges in the fewest number of characters. We'll work in small teams, because hacknight is all about coding socially. (Don't worry if you consider yourself a Ruby novice as we'll try and mix experienced and less experienced coders.)

6pm Tue 29 April, at the Yammer office - please sign up on meetup.com if you’d like to join us: http://www.meetup.com/ruby-hacknight-london/events/174908902/ I’m aiming this mostly at people who didn’t play golf the first time around, so If you played golf at LRUG three years ago then you will recognise many of the puzzles. Sorry! Maybe another time I’ll do something more original for you!
