<p><strong>SH24</strong> is a new, NHS backed start-up which hopes
to revolutionise sexual health care in South East London by using
telephone and internet technologies to deliver sexual health care
remotely, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.</p>
<p>We’re looking for a Ruby developer who can take responsibility
for the management of our application codebase. They will take on
a variety of tasks, from implementing interactive front-end
interfaces to designing and building back-end solutions.</p>
<p>They will be expected to estimate and implement their work within
an agile process and ensure that the highest level of code quality
and appropriate test coverage is maintained throughout.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will be well versed in the full web stack,
and love good design.</p>
<h3>Desired Skills and Experience</h3>
<h4>Responsibilities</h4>
<ul>
<li>Architect, develop and maintain a complex Ruby on Rails
application</li>
<li>Work with external designers, developers and testers as
required to plan and ship work</li>
<li>Identify areas of risk and complexity during the planning
process</li>
<li>Communicate continually with the team on progress</li>
<li>Turn wireframes and designs into functional applications</li>
<li>Advocate best practices</li>
<li>Write and maintain integration and unit test suites</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Ruby and Ruby on Rails</li>
<li>Git</li>
<li>TDD/BDD</li>
<li>HTML and CSS</li>
<li>JavaScript</li>
</ul>
<h4>Highly desirable skills</h4>

<li>Strong OO design skills</li>
<li>Experience working in an agile environment</li>
<li>Open source contributions</li>
<li>Experience setting up and maintaining UNIX systems</li>
<li>A keen eye for detail</li>
<li>Understanding of continuous integration</li>
</ul>

<li>Experience of successfully working in fast paced environments</li>

advantageous.</li>
