We’ve needed a shared view of all the emails coming in and going out of our group, and a way to clearly see <i>who</i> is handling <i>what</i> so that we don’t step on each other’s toes or duplicate efforts.</div><div><br></div><div>Every time I’ve searched for something that would let us do that, I always end up looking at ZenDesk or HelpScout or other customer-support-focussed tools, which yes, would definitely work, but </div><div><br></div><div>a) they’re over-complicated and focussing on a way of dealing with email (i.e. “tickets”) that doesn’t really map to reality, and</div><div>b) they are <b>so expensive</b> as soon as you get even a couple of folk involved.</div><div><br></div><div>Our pitch with Jelly is simple: treat email like email, and don’t charge per-seat so that everyone who <i>should</i> be collaborating <i>can</i> without anyone having to worry about if it’s worth the cost to add them.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyway, blah blah blah. Our hope is to make something that works really well for small company teams/startups as well as communities and other groups. LRUG itself has been a beta user since the start, and I <i>think</i> it’s working pretty well for them? Right? I hope so??! 😅</div><div><br></div><div>If you’d like to try it, please do check it out.
