    Hello everyone,<br>
    <br>
    It is with pleasure that I announce we have a second talk for
    January.<br>
    <br>
    Yevhenii Kurtov has been kind enough to volunteer his talk "They're
    not right, you're not wrong", about DDD (Domain-Driven Design). You
    can see more details about it, and the full line-up, at <a

    <br>
    For January, we still have room for a 10 minute talk. If you fancy
    taking that spot, we are waiting to hear from you on <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:talks@lrug.org">talks@lrug.org</a><br>

                        <div><br>
                        </div>
                        <div>What the eagle-eyed among you will have
                          noticed is that what we don’t have yet is any
                          content!  </div>
                        <div><br>
                        </div>
                        <div>This is where you come in, so here are some
                          ideas to inspire you to volunteer:<br>
                        </div>
                        <div><br>
                        </div>
                        <div>* Rails 8 came out in early Nov (<a
href="https://guides.rubyonrails.org/8_0_release_notes.html"
                            target="_blank" moz-do-not-send="true"
                            class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://guides.rubyonrails.org/8_0_release_notes.html</a>),
                          so by now if you’ve upgraded you can share all
                          the fun new features, or any pain points in
                          the upgrade process</div>
                        <div>* The festive season is upon us which means
                          a new version of ruby is coming (<a
href="https://docs.ruby-lang.org/en/master/NEWS_md.html" target="_blank"
                            moz-do-not-send="true"
                            class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://docs.ruby-lang.org/en/master/NEWS_md.html</a>),
                          so an easy talk would be a review of all the
                          new features</div>
                        <div>* The festive season also means Advent of
                          Code is running (<a
                            href="https://adventofcode.com/2024"
                            target="_blank" moz-do-not-send="true"
                            class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://adventofcode.com/2024</a>),
                          if you’ve been taking part (no matter how far
                          you get) why not share some of the things
                          you’ve learned, or just go deep on the
                          solution to one of the puzzles?</div>
                        <div>* Apparently, this year had a bumper crop
                          of ruby content at conferences (<a
href="https://ruby.social/@marcoroth/113665539397868492" target="_blank"

                            class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://ruby.social/@marcoroth/113665539397868492</a>),
                          perhaps you’ve been to a bunch of the
                          conferences, or just spent a lot of quality
                          ruby time on YouTube - could you give us a
                          rundown of your favourites?</div>
                        <div><br>
                        </div>
                        <div>Or, you know, whatever brilliant ideas you
                          have.  We’d love to hear it!</div>
                        <div><br>
                        </div>
                        <div>Get in touch with us on <a

                          to volunteer and we’ll help you in any way you
                          need to turn that idea into a great talk.</div>
