[LRUG] Joint event with the BCS, 13/9 or 19/9

Hi all,

Richard has emailed me to ask if anyone is interested in speaking at
their evening (see below). As yet, nobody has expressed any interest
in speaking to the BCS, but here are the updated details that he's
passed along to me:

"I dropped you a line at the beginning of the month regarding an event
I am organising for the BCS on Thursday the 13th of September - a sort
of 'state of the nation' talk on modern programming and scripting
languages.

"I feel that Ruby is an interesting language and I would very much
like the members of my branch of the BCS to be made (more) aware of.

"FYI Ian Cooper, Founder of the London .NET User Group (DNUG), Peter
Pilgrim, Founder of the Java Web User Group (JAVAWUG) and Chester
Chipperfield, Organiser of the London Flex User Group, have agreed to
take part."

As I mentioned before, you'd be expected to spend a few minutes (10
max I think) talking about Ruby (why you like it, probably some time
talking about the appeal of Rails, and so on), and then I'm guessing
it will develop from there. And, as I said at the end of the last LRUG
meeting, this is a golden networking opportunity for anyone who wants
to be approached for Ruby/Rails work.

I'd love to be able to go back to Richard with a few contact emails
for people who might be interested, so please do send me an email
(james.adam at gmail.com) if you can help out.

Thanks again,

James
