Ah, I don't think I can make it along (again) but I'd have quite liked
to hear this.
Personally I'm a huge fan of Delsolr (http://delsolr.rubyforge.org/).
I looked at Sunspot very briefly and rejected it for two reasons if I
recall; it includes it's own version of solr (all several 100MB of it)
in the gem and it doesn't let you write your own schemas so you're
always at the mercy of the gem and unable to take advantage of some of
solrs powers.
