Hi all,

Just a quick follow-up to my announcement at last night's LRUG. It's weird,
I feel kind of evil for telling people we're hiring.

Anyway, as I mentioned last night, I'm the tech lead at Sidekick Studios:
http://sidekickstudios.net. The blurb on our homepage should give you a
good idea who we are and what we're about.

Here's the gist: %w(design technology products good startup innovate).

We have loads of interesting projects in the pipeline for the second half
of this year and going well into next year. They involve funded work to
help charities become more entrepreneurial and projects with large clients
helping them innovate and disrupt their own businesses in many cases
involving lots of short hacks and experimentation.

We are keen to build up the team a bit with a permanent lead developer to
work alongside me (details here:
http://sidekickstudios.net/jobs/technical-lead) but are also looking for
loads of freelance specialists in Ruby, iOS, Android, HTML and Javascript.

We're based near Old Street and have a good bunch of people in a nice
office. If you want to have a chat, please get in touch. Whether you're
available immediately or just interested in seeing what we're up to, we're
interested in meeting good people.

On a different topic, I'm writing a talk based on the ideas in a recent
blog post I wrote on Simplicity. Would anyone be interested in seeing me
present it at LRUG? It won't be especially "code" or "ruby" related but has
obvious relevance I think. The post is here:
http://sidekickstudios.net/blog/2012/06/simples and yes, I do regret the
slug.

Thanks

Ian
