Hi LRUG,

We are on the look out for a full time lead Ruby and Javascript developer to join our start up product, The Big Sofa based on Borough High Street.

The Big Sofa is a cutting edge start up web application that allows organisations to access, search, edit and share video content, which can be used to create outputs for business-wide understanding, training, presentations and change.

We are looking for a full time lead developer to join the team and take over the development of the application. The developer who joins us will be at the heart of the start ups growth and success, so they will want to take some ownership for the technical development. We're a small start up but the product has a strong potential for growth and is looking to expand to an international market. It's a great opportunity for someone looking for a challenging and innovative start up to make their mark on.

We are looking to get the infrastructure stable and robust and then start customising the application, building in added functionality and features based on user experience feedback. So creative problem solving will be a key part of the role. The application is looking to gain a large and unique user base.

The platform is a heavily video orientated so previous experience working on video platform would be ideal, as well as experience or knowledge of transcoding software, encoding and streaming platforms.
