[LRUG] [JOBS] Cronycle - New startup looking for Devs

Hi all

We are a new startup that is developing a new premium content recording 
service (like Flipboard but better) http://cronycle.com

We have already:
• secured 1st round of VC funding
• built a functional proof of concept UI with a Responsive web client 
(BackboneJS, SASS etc), and native iOS client
• built a scaleable async based backend using Ruby 2, Sidekiq, 
Elasticsearch running on AWS
• performed initial user testing to validate the product

We are looking for experienced developers ideally with Rails / iOS 
background to build out the core development team to rebuild the service 
ready for a public launch in the coming months, then to scale the 
service into the hundreds of thousands user mark and beyond.
This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a startup 
that will be going places; to be able to shape, develop and scale a 
digital service and the technology team behind it

You will be interested in many or all of:
• Scaleable RESTful APIs - including the hypermedia component
• Managing large datasets (both RDBMS and NoSQL). Ideally Cassandra or Riak
• Asynchronous processing / multi-threading / multi-process management
• TDD / BDD + CI development methodologies
• Rich Javascript applications
• Architecting a service infrastructure that will scale to 100,000+ users
• Working with sophisticated iOS technologies such as incremental 
persistent stores and advanced collection view layouts
• Interacting with world leading service and graphical designers to 
create a stunning user experience

You will be based in a relaxed and friendly open plan studio 5 min from 
Shoreditch station
