[LRUG] RoR Contract and perm roles in London

I am looking for a Ruby on Rails developer to join an online gaming operator, based in central London. The company has around 80 developers in London and also offices in Asia. They are looking for both contract and perm candidates, paying ca 350 pounds per day for a contract role and up to £70,000 for a permanent position.

Ruby Web Developer

You will be responsible for implementing high availability web applications using web-based frameworks. You will be an expert in their field operating within an agile, clean development environment maximising use of modern technologies and tools.

Ruby Web Developer

You Will

·         Develop and maintain high quality web applications using Ruby, JavaScript, HTML & CSS

·         Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle

·         Collaborate with other teams and get in touch with the latest technologies (Mobile, RESTful web services, Ajax...)

·         Work closely with product managers, designers, front-end developers and quality analysts in a highly collaborative environment

·         Succeed, fail, enjoy, learn... In one word: grow

What you need

·         5 years of proven experience developing enterprise web applications using Ruby

·         Expertise in OO programming and use of design patterns

·         Ruby on Rails experience is a must

·         Strong knowledge of Javascript/JQuery

·         Experience in latest web/mobile technologies (HTML5/CSS3)

·         Mustache or similar template system knowledge would be a plus

·         Good understanding of web architecture (GNU/Linux, Apache, Varnish, nginx, MySQL...)

·         Knowledge about W3C standards, CSS layout, and web services

·         Understand the importance of test driven development (TDD) and continuous integration environments

·         Experience working with Subversion, GIT...

·         University degree in Computer Science or a related field

·         Must be a fast learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
