Full Stack Ruby Dev – Permanent, Salary + Options

InsurTech business seeking a talented full stack Ruby & JS dev for CTO role, JS strength rqd. Acting lead dev, managing small in house team of three.

This is us:
We’re Human Benefits, an early mover into digital commercial insurance broking. The market is large, well overdue for change, and our timing is good. The business foundations are built, we’re funded and moving from a remote freelance to an in house dev team.

We’re looking for:
A talented developer that lives and loves great code, creativity, innovation and building high quality applications and experiences. A developer looking for an evolving CTO role, lead developer and team manager initially of three but with steady growth plans. An execution mindset with an understanding of the array of tasks and responsibilities inherent in start up CTO roles, though the rest of the business will support to ensure you’re writing code full time. Someone looking to truly commit themselves to the business’ mission in exchange for the rewards that success will bring.

Key Skills:

  *   Front End; Javascript, jQuery, Angular, CSS, Sass, HTML.
  *   Back end; Ruby, RoR, Rspec, Postgresql.
  *   Infrastructure; Heroku, AWS.
Where are you strongest amongst the above?
  *   Good design and UX understanding, close design team engagement.
  *   Agile, small team Kanban via Trello, moving to Scrum with growth?
  *   Experience in small and mid sized dev teams.
  *   Experience in leading and building a dev team.
  *   Be honest, reasonable and fair as are we.
  *   Be able to communicate well.
  *   Have an entrepreneurial, get it done, attitude.
