Hi all,
My name is Dave Anderson, and I am currently working on a RoR project developing a bespoke order management system for a construction fixings company. We are looking for a senior developer to assist (ideally on a part time basis, but the possibility of a full time contract would also be considered).
I will be attending LRUG for the first time this evening, so please feel free to chat to me this evening after the talks, or see more about the job below.
Thanks very much.
----------------------------------------------
We are looking for an experienced senior Ruby-on-Rails developer to assist with an ongoing project creating a bespoke order management system which handles allocation of stock, a customer facing order status tracking facility, delivery notifications and an analytics dashboard for internal use (amongst much more). It integrates with various APIs and is quite wide ranging in scope.
We are ideally looking for a contractor who is able to to provide approx 1-2 days per week in the form of project guidance, code review and mentorship, as well as working directly on some of the more challenging aspects of the project, in particular performance optimisation, implementing BDD, security, scaling and robust exception handling. We would also consider a full-time short term contract if 1-2 days per week is impractical.
The very small development team has up until now consisted of 2 members, but is now down to just one following a developer leaving. We use Jira and loosely follow Agile methodology.
The application's back end runs rails 5, and our front end is largely built on ReactJS. We are mainly looking for backend assistance, however any experience in React would be a bonus.
Regular face-to-face meetings would be required with the managing director and/or other developer (office based in Maidstone. - Meetings with the other developer could also potentially be in a central London coffee shop for example if more convenient), however outside of this, remote work would be welcome.
If you are interested, please send a CV to dave.anderson at multifixbury.com
