Hi there,
BBC Research and Development in White City are looking to hire an experienced developer with an interest in Machine Learning for a 1 year contract.
The position is within a small, friendly R&D team who are exploring new ways to search TV and Radio archives using speech-to-text, face recognition, speaker identification and object recognition.
The job title is Senior R&D Engineer. The full description and application form can be found here...

We’re posting this on LRUG because quite a few of the engineers in our department have come from a Ruby background (indeed we’re recruited them via this group). The Ruby community seems to be a good match for the sort of research-based engineers that enjoy this sort of work.
If you have any questions not answered by the details in the link above feel free to email me at rob.cooper at bbc.co.uk<mailto:rob.cooper at bbc.co.uk> directly. The closing date for applications is the 21st January.
Thanks
Rob
