Hi!  We're looking for a senior Ruby developer at Audioboom (
https://audioboom.com).  We provide podcast hosting & management for
thousands of podcasters, from big to small.


Senior Back End Developer

Reporting to: CTO
The Senior Back End Developer works as part of a small development team,
primarily with Ruby on Rails, to continue the ongoing development and
improvement of the Audioboom platform.

Roles and responsibilities
● Responsible for the back end development of the Audioboom platform
including new feature requests, maintenance, bug fixing, and optimisations.
● Ad hoc dev-ops responsibilities including some database admin.
● Improving stat collection & analysis.
● Mentoring junior developers / skills sharing.
● Assessing feature requests and making recommendations.

Skills and Experience
● Ability to develop well-tested, reusable, scalable code.
● Strong attention to detail.
● Works collaboratively and flexibly, building good relationships with
other departments.
● Experience in Ruby on Rails, RSpec, Javascript, MySQL, Redis, Linux,
Google Analytics, and Cassandra.
● Experience with audio processing and related software preferable.
● Devops experience would be useful.
● Self motivated – works well under their own initiative with a proactive
approach to work.
● Agile project planning.
● Analytical thinker.
● Ability to work with big data sets.
