We had to solve this problem recently too, and having looked into the
options of uploading/hosting on AWS etc, we ended up opting for a really
simple solution. We offload the video encoding and hosting complexity to
Vimeo, and then give the option to embed the video in the customer's secure
page (behind a paywall). With the right Vimeo settings (which unfortunately
require a paid Vimeo account), it's locked down so the video can't be
copied or shared. It's working perfectly.
